Amazing pair of handmade preban beluga whale boots by Cowtown. These are historic boots custom made by Cowtown Mexican artisans in the late 1950s as an early version of their popular model W376 brown “Trailboss”. These are in AMAZING condition considering the age, just about perfect, the shape of these in such a rare size is a purchase you can’t make anywhere else. This pair is hand stitched and the vamps really pop with the divots and other aquatic character. A pair of boots rarely reaches this age in this kind of condition, and it’s pretty much unheard of for them to be in that condition. These boots are genuine pre-ban brown exotic hide, that are fully wearable and will last many more years if taken care of properly. The interior Cowtown font and style number date these boots to the latter half of the 1960s. These boots are sized at a 8.5 D, however as they were manufactured in the early Cowtown factory, which was known to be generous with their sizing in vintage older models. I would expect that these boots could accommodate an 8.5 E, 9 D or even a 9 E Men’s. There very almost no noticeable marks around the vamps, with one small nick near the toe but you do not get to this age, over 60 year’s old, without a little bit of character. These boots are a bold classic exotic vintage style and would look great in any collection.
