Amazing pair of handmade black Walrus skin boots by Boulet in Canada. These are historic boots custom made by Boulet Canadian artisans in the 1980s from indigenous Inuit tribes that have constitutionally protected rights to hunt and use seals and walrus for food, social, and ceremonial purposes. These are in AMAZING condition considering the age, just about perfect, the shape of these in such a rare size with be a purchase you can’t make anywhere else. This pair is hand stitched and the vamps are insanely figured with deep striations. A pair of boots rarely reaches this age in this kind of condition, and it’s pretty much unheard of for them to be in that condition and in this size. These boots are genuine pre-ban black walrus that are fully wearable and will last many more years if taken care of properly. The interior Boulet tags date these boots to the latter half of the 1970s/80s. These boots are sized at a 8.5 E, however Boulet was known to be generous with their sizing in vintage models, which is a change from most other historic boot manufacturers. I would expect that these boots could accommodate an or 9 D or sometimes 9 EE Men’s US. There very almost no noticeable marks around the vamps but you do not get to this age, over 60 year’s old, without a little bit of character. These walrus boots boots are a bold classic exotic vintage style and would look great in any collection.
