Amazing pair of genuine elephant boots by Double H Boots, handcrafted in the USA. These are vintage boots custom-made by Double H artisans in the mid-1990s. Double H boots, known for its work and western footwear, was founded in 1955 in Pennsylvania. In 1993, they embraced their heritage by officially becoming Double-H Boots, a name that reflects their early connection to H.H. Brown Shoe Company. Double-H Boots is recognized for being the first U.S. manufacturer to introduce western boots with a safety toe. They created many pairs of exotic boots that were western wear but also great for physical labor and farm work. They were pioneers in safety toe technology for western boots, setting a new standard for durability. This pair is hand lasted, and the vamps include an amazing, genuine elephant skin figure, and a pair of exotic boots is pretty much unheard of in this condition and in this large size. These boots are genuine, natural gray/white elephant boots that are in decent shape and will last many more years if taken care of properly. The interior Double H tags date these boots to the 90s, when they adopted the new name. These boots are sized at a 12 D and marked genuine elephant. There are very few marks around the vamps, just light scuffs, but you do not get to this age, over 30 years old, without a little bit of character.
