Amazing pair of handmade sperm whaleskin boots by Cowtown. These are historic boots custom made by Cowtown Mexican artisans in the late 1950s as an early version of their soon-to-be popular model 276 and 376 black and brown “Trailboss”. These are in AMAZING condition considering the age, the shape of these is an incredible steal! This pair is hand stitched and the vamps include the signature drop stitch on the vamps right beside the piping that Cowtown added to their boots back in the 1950s/60s. A pair of boots rarely reaches this age in this kind of condition, and it’s pretty much unheard of for them to be in that condition and in this large size. These boots are genuine pre-ban brown sperm whaleskin that are fully wearable and will last many more years if taken care of properly. The interior Cowtown tags date these boots to the latter half of the 1950s. These boots are currently missing the interior Mexican sizing but Measure as an 8 E or 8.5 E as they were manufactured in the early Cowtown Mexico factory, however Cowtown was known to be generous with their sizing in vintage older models, which is a change from most other historic boot manufacturers so a 9 D might work in here as well. There very few marks around the vamps, just light toe scuffs, but you do not get to this age, over 70 year’s old, without a little bit of character. These whale boots boots are a bold classic exotic vintage style and would look great in any collection.
